Construction Information Technology Laboratory

The CIT Lab, is part of the Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering Technology:

The Laing O'Rourke Centre is a partnership between the Department of Engineering, Cambridge Judge Business School and Laing O'Rourke, the UK's largest privately owned construction company.

The Centre was created as the result of a generous donation by Laing O'Rourke. The donation has funded a new Chair in Construction Engineering, a Masters degree programme and supports research and undergraduate teaching within the Department of Engineering.

The foundation of the Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology has provided us with the opportunity to address some of the challenges talked about above.  We are carrying out cutting edge research as well as educating future leaders of the construction industry to challenge the norm and think innovatively.
The goal of the Centre is to precipitate innovation and provide a new vision for the shape of tomorrow's construction industry.

Our ambition is to become the world leading centre of excellence in research and education for the construction industry, and the firm start we have already made has provided the foundation on which this ambition is being realised.
